Burle Marx is like part calathea and part prayer plant! It’s great for low to medium light, sleeps in the evenings (by closing its leaves) and comes alive in the day. Burle Marx has markings on its leaves that resemble a fishbone. This plant is non-toxic for pets |

Medium light
Keep soil moist. If repotting use moisture retaining soil such as peat or coconut coir
Propagate by root division or by leaf cutting. Mist foliage and add humidity if possible 
Keep no lower than 16 degrees
Fertilize bi-weekly during April - end of September
